“The Lord is good” is a sentiment often followed with, “all the time.” This is something we should intuitively know as followers of Christ. But, do we believe it? Often, we perceive God as ready to “get us” if we step out of line or make a mistake. But, the Lord love us, folks. Here’s what the Bible has to say.
“Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?” -Matthew 7:9-11, KJV
If we as parents love our children, how much more does our Heavenly Father love us?
“…the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.” – Psalms 84:11, KJV
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” – James 1:17, KJV
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” – 2 Timothy 1:7
The Lord loves you, and He wants to give you good things. He wants you to live in peace and His love. And He wants you to share His love with others.
