I enjoy taking my dog Jacob for walks. It’s like our own end of the day adventure. This dog can be so very annoying though. In the end, I always decide where we are going. I always make the call on the turns we take, but Jacob has to resist. Something’s pulling him left or right. It could be smells, a rabbit, a trail we have taken before, or what appears to be just plain stubbornness.

The Bible tells us

Romans 8:14  (KJV)

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

The same thing could be said with our walk with God. We commit our lives to Christ repent of our sins turn from our wicked ways. Then, we start on a path with Christ. He knows where we are and has a plan where to take us. Yet, we resist every turn. We resist His plan.

Let me tell you: God’s plan for your life is better than anything you could want for yourself.

Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

When walking Jacob I have to constantly pull him out of the road. Protect him danger. I see things he doesn’t understand. I recognize dangers that Jacob doesn’t acknowledge.

Galatians 5:16  (KJV)

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh

If we will submit to God’s leadership and walk in the spirit, we will save ourselves a lot of trouble. Imagine if King David was walking in the spirit when Bathsheba was bathing on the roof? Or Jonah was walking in the spirit when God told him GO TO NINEVEH.  Submitting yourself to God will only make your walk in Christ that much easier. I challenge each and every person reading this blog to submit to Christ. Its one thing to follow, but another to submit.

Remember: God has a plan for you and has a value on your head.

His plan is

Jeremiah 29:11 King James Version (KJV)

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

And His value on you is priceless

John 3:16 King James Version (KJV)

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
